Virtual gifts are a great option for supporters who want to donate money to their favourite charity whilst still sending that special something to their friend or relative on their birthday or another occasion.

Oxfam Unwrapped
One of our clients using virtual gifts is Oxfam Unwrapped. Buying a gift from Oxfam Unwrapped is a fantastic way to show someone you care about them and the world around you. They offer a range of cards, wrapping paper and gifts. These are integrated into our internal workflow, allowing our systems process each order, which might be a card, an email, or a physical product – or a mixture of all three!
Virtual gifts work well for our charities since, in 2020, Mosaic Fulfilment Solutions sent out 100,000 gift cards from our Print on Demand facility!
The process
On most charity websites, this is how virtual gifts work:
- Your supporter chooses a special gift, selecting a card design from multiple options.
- Your supporter may leave a special personalised message, received through our automated workflow along with their address and/or email.
- Mosaic receives the “order”. This might be a card on its own that we will print on demand and mail out with either Royal Mail or UK Mail, or a card and a physical product that we pick from our warehouse, pack, and mail out. Or it could simply be an email.
