Mosaic become Cyber Essentials Certified

Mosaic Fulfilment Solutions are delighted to announce it has become certified to hold the Cyber Essentials standard, a move that helps protect our clients from common cyber threats and further underlines our commitment to become the industry leader on all things security and compliance.

Conducted by the certification body Security Risk Management Ltd, Mosaic has demonstrated it has in place significant checks and measures throughout the organisation to defend our clients and their customers against the most common form of cyber-attacks originating from the internet.

What is Cyber Essentials?

The Cyber Essentials certificate is an industry-supported, Government-backed scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats. Focusing on five specific technical areas across Firewalls; Secure Configuration; User Access Control; Malware Protection; and Patch management. Approved Cyber Essentials holders will have needed to demonstrate their organisation meets all the required standards of their IT infrastructure across these five areas.

How does Cyber Essentials work?

Through the identification of technical controls within the aforementioned IT infrastructure and focusing around three main threat areas namely:

The scope of coverage offered by the Cyber Essentials Scheme sup-ports preventative measures against these common threats by reviewing the physical software, devices and user-specific actions to limit the risk of a threat occurring.

What does the Cyber Essential certification mean for Mosaic?

• Password Protection - an attempt or repeated attempts are made to ‘hack’ account access through password guessing.
• Phishing Scams - users are tricked into installing or opening a malicious application to gain access to information.
• Prevention of Hacking - Whereby known vulnerabilities in internet-connected devices are exploited through the use of tools and techniques.
